Tulsa, Oklahoma . . . Unit Corporation (NYSE – UNT) announced
today that Brad Guidry has been promoted to Senior Vice President of
Exploration for Unit Petroleum Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of
Unit Corporation. Effective immediately, all exploration and production
divisions will report to him. Brad joined Unit in August 1988 as a Staff
Geologist, and in 1991, he was promoted to Geologic Manager overseeing
the Geologic Operations of the company. In January 2003, he was promoted
to Division Vice President, overseeing our offices in Midland, Houston
and Denver.
Larry Pinkston, President and Chief Operating Officer, said “Brad
has done an excellent job for Unit over the years and has proven that
he has the qualifications to lead Unit Petroleum Company.”
Unit Petroleum Company is an exploration and production subsidiary of

At December 31, 2004, Units owned 347 Bcfe of reserves and operates
